Tuesday, August 26, 2008 : Kaz'roGIRL falls early...to fall often...
|
By Trebax
|
Kaz'rogal, from here forward named Kaz'rogirl, was taken down on the first attempt by UE. Azgalor...UE's first attempt at a T6 boss, nearly met the same swift doom being taken down to 9% on the first attempt before mental fatigue set in for the evening. This marks another month of quick learning and solid performances by the raiders of Unknown Entity. Among other highlights for the last week alone include UE's first ever attempt at Kael'Thas. Both attempts easily reached Phase 2, with the chaos of the many flying weapons to be solved next.

Tuesday, July 22, 2008 : TRIPLE TOPPLE! VASHJ, RAGE WINTERCHILL, ANETHERON
|
By Trebax
|
They said that we couldn't do it. They said we would never get'r done. They dared us to prove them wrong. Challenge accepted. Challenge completed. Unknown Entity can indeed do "the impossible." In taking perhaps the largest step of progression in its two-year history by felling three major targets in just over a week, Unknown Entity has arrived on the doorstep of "the big leagues". This week alone we've climbed from being ranked 41st on the server to 30th overall, and 19th ranked Alliance. While the deaths of Rage Winterchill and Anetheron are momentous and important towards going deeper into Mount Hyjal, the largest and most satisfying death must be, by far, that of the medusa Vashj. After several attempts and many close calls, Vashj was slain on 7/21 with unparalleled coordination and determination. Many repairs were made during the previous attempts to vanquish Vashj, but the feeling of felling that frizzy-faced foe was well worth it. You can watch the video of the splendorous slaughter of the snake lady by checking out the following thread: (Special thanks to Amb for taking the video!) http://unknownentity.dkpsystem.com/viewthread.php?threadid=2340Now...Kael quakes in his knickers, knowing we're coming after him next. Then, very very soon, we shall darken the steps of the Black Temple. Ladies and Gentlemen... Get your Sharpies...Unknown Entity has crashed the party! [Full-size photos of each individual kill are in the "UE HALL OF FAME KILLS" sub-gallery]

Tuesday, May 13, 2008 : The hits keep coming!
|
By Trebax

In short order, we have annihilated nearly all of Serpentshrine Caverns, with only Lady Vashj remaining. Morogrim is nothing but an old grumpy dwarf with a hangover, Leo is now a "tame lion", and Karathress is no distress. On the Tempest Keep front, progress continues as we strategize for the Al'ar kill. Magtheridon, long thinking that he had escaped our wrath, found out very quickly that he's ours to command. So...where are we exactly? Does this place that Unknown Entity holds look familiar? In fact, it is new territory. This is one of the fastest progressing guilds on the entire server, and it is because we're locking down, tightening up, and having fun all at the same time. And the world said we couldn't do it.... HAAH! Let's continue to show the world just what Unknown Entity can REALLY do!

Tuesday, April 22, 2008 : Morogrim murdered! Two firsts in two nights!
|
By Trebax
|
The flatulence problems of Morogrim the morbidly obese were solved last night as Unknown Entity overcame some initial obstacles and decked the domineering dwarf. As per usual, progression raid leader and guild commander Kuroyi expertly guided a team of 25 through the Serpentshrine Caverns in quick one-shots of Lurker and Hydross before guiding the wrath of Unknown Entity upon Morogrim. An added bonus was the return of Thranos from a long hiatus. Combined with a gracious appearance from Raynelord, UE seemed ready to charge into Hell with squirtguns. Several items dropped, including at least 6 nether vortexes and 5 other epics that did not come from bosses. SSC was in a giving mood last night, and UE was eager to receive. Morogrim's death was accomplished, oddly enough, without Trebax having to die early in the fight. Mordeloth, however, has a GM ticket open to investigate this apparent bug and Thranos is telling folks not to blame him for the oddity. With Morogrim down, Leo is next for the taking, and we're now at or past halfway in every progression zone we're targeting! This means BT may be only a few short months away! Wonderful job Unknown Entity!!!!

Monday, April 21, 2008 : Solarian's sun snuffed!
|
By Trebax
|
The sun set at 8pm server time on Solarian, the high astromancer of Tempest Keep, last night through the dogged determination of Unknown Entity. UE Action News correspondant Amb was at the scene capturing live video of the arrogant astromancer's demise, and can be seen HERE.With only a couple of attempts prior, the party of 25 heeded the advice of progression raid leader and guild commander Kuroyi, taking down the telescope-toting turncoat with relative ease. The key to victory in this matter, however, is decidedly harder to figure. Some believe it was hearing "this fight is unbelievably SIMPLE" from the raid leader no less than fifty-two times, give or take twenty. Others believe getting a handle on the "purple poker" disease was crucial. And there are those who believe the key to victory tonight, as on other nights, is Guild Commander Trebax's death 5% into the fight. It was unanimous, however, that Mordeloth's lack of clothes did not contribute in any manner toward the slaying of Solarian (though several raiders reported nightmares afterward.) "What can erase this stain from the eyes of my mind? MY MIIIIIIND!!" screamed Fastila, her shouts echoing in the cavern as she attempted to gouge her own eyes out with a spoon. Whatever the key might have been last night, the key now is simply this: We've cleared HALF of TK, and we're only just getting started!

Tuesday, March 18, 2008 : Jan'alai Down!
|
By Kuroyi
|
The gong sounded early, but it was nothing compared to the resounding sound of the feared Jan'alai - DragonHawk falling to the stones of his platform. Another one bites the dust. It has been reported that throughout the Eastern Kingdoms, floating above the pines a faint sound could be heard...it was the sound of the Hex Lord shouting "NOOOOOOOOO!" ...we are coming

Monday, March 10, 2008 : DOUBLE KILLER THRILLER!
|
By Trebax
|
Hydross the Unstable and Void Reaver, two high-ranking members of the forces of evil, fell for the first time to Unknown Entity this evening in a frenzy of heretofore unseen displays of might and magic.
After only 6 attempts, Hydross evaporated quickly before the resourceful might of Unknown Entity, while Void Reaver, who had only been attempted 5 times (the most recent over 6 months ago), fell swiftly after a minor strategic change.
In all, several pieces of T5 loot dropped for UE in what is likely the biggest progression move for the guild in several months.
"Double your pleasure, double your fun," said Commander Kuroyi, distinguished raid leader for both executions of evil.
"This was quite a um...heh...display of our abilities" remarked Guild Leader Kriknosnah, "and Illidan should be served notice...we're on our way."
"I jes canna miss!", said Trebax, probably for the 375th time that evening, though Mordeloth missed even less, putting up his personal best numbers of the night leading the rogues.
In all, it was a spectacular display of camaraderie, working together, and getting the job done...a well earned set of victories. What was more remarkable, was that the battles weren't even CLOSE...both bosses were absolutely annihilated!
What bosses should be quaking in their boots now? Stay tuned to the UE News Desk for further developments.

Tuesday, February 19, 2008 : Fat Fish FUBAR'D; Fish fry follows!
|
By Trebax
|
"I've got a good feeling about tonight," Mordeloth had said in the rogue channel. Everyone in channel agreed.
After successfully slaying the sea-beast known as Lurker, everyone in Unknown Entity and the raid party in particular shared the feeling. Battling hot water, a few misteps, and the raid leader's wonky Ventrilo for over two hours, Unknown Entity achieved their first kill in Serpentshrine Cavern.
The way it unfolded was nothing short of amazing.
With no ventrilo, Kuroyi patiently managed to lead the group through the process. With assists from Guild Master Kriknosnah and Commander Trebax, the raid's first attempts at Lurker weren't impressive by any means. However, the third time was the charm as everyone worked together flawlessly to achieve the historic first fish fry for UE.
"I expect us to filet this thing in 45 minutes next time, " said Commander Kuroyi, Raid Leader. "But for tonight, we celebrate!"
"Tastes like chicken!" said Reddusk.
"I'm all pruny from the hot water, and it ruined my nails!" said Taniere.
Lucky Lurker Looters included Koijin, Kriknosnah, and Kyssa...further raising the suspicion that loot only happens to a single letter of the alphabet each night. Kelyna had no comment.
Special thanks to those outside of UE who came to help us beat this thing. You can see the KILL SHOT in the Picture Gallery.
