I got called in to a run just after they'd taken down the first boss (the best place, by far, to get called in, as that first boss is the worst of the lot). It was mostly a guild run by The Eonarii, and I'd run across Cithaeron, the main tank, before (he's simply amazing, by the way). I only had about 30 minutes before I had to head off, though, and said as much. This got taken as something of a challenge and, indeed, we finished the run in just over 30 minutes.
The group ran roughshod over the place to such a degree that I kept forgetting it was heroic. This cost me a bit on one pull when I pulled aggro on a caster who proceeded to stomp me (they put out a lot of dps!), something I could have certainly gotten away with on standard. It was just hard to remember how much damage everything could do, as the tank wasn't noticeably getting damaged at all (a combination of good gear and a good druid healer).
The final fight was a bit hectic for me, as I'd never had to worry about facing on the tanks before, and couldn't remember whether the star was the front or back (front, as it turns out), but we managed it as easily as the rest of the place. |
