Promotions & Demotions
Updated 2/19/2009Unknown Entity is a raiding guild. To that end, promotions revolve around raiding and loyalty to the guild.
PROMOTIONSPlayers themselves will now be responsible for *applying* for a promotion. This is no longer done automatically by leaders and officership.
The process is simple. If the player feels they have met the standards for the next highest rank, they make a private post on the website to the officers and leadership to review them for promotion. The officers and leadership will evaluate the request and vote. A majority vote required for promotion up through the rank of Master Raider. Legendary Raiders require a unanimous vote from the Commanders and Guild Master.
Player requests for promotion must be at least 30 days apart. This means that if an application for promotion is denied (with reasons given), they must wait 30 days before trying again.
Promotions will be added to that player's file on record.
DEMOTIONSOfficers and Leadership hope this hardly, if ever, happens, but the rules must be in place for it.
In situations where any ranking member of UE warrants severe discipline, Officers and Leadership have the right and ability to demote players in the guild. Situations that warrant demotion include, but are not limited to:
- Continued lack of respect for leadership and/or other members of the guild
- Continued inability to meet performance and/or attendance standards in raids
- Lack of use of WoW account
- Severe disciplinary action
If a player is demoted, there will be reasons given to that player. If a player is "demoted" to "Inactive", the reasons are already given.
A demoted player can request for promotion to regain their original rank, but must wait at least 30 days from the date of demotion.
Demotions will be added to that player's file on record.
